Our association is affiliated with Wankan Shotokan Karate International and is a proud member of UKAI Shotokan Karate Association. We are headquartered in Gulzar Bagh, Kolkata, West Bengal, and are proud to have an exceptional team of instructors supporting our mission to promote karate.

At Modern Shotokan Karate-do Association, we believe that karate is more than just a sport or martial art – it is a way of life.Our President, Sensei Ashraf Ali, is a 5th Dan Black belt holder and has 37 years of experience in the martial art. Our instructors are passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping students develop their physical and mental abilities while instilling the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance.
